Thanks Sunday,

It's nice of you to comment. Really glad that you're happy at Mission Playground. Rep life continues to be interesting, and you're missed.

Check in every once in awhile, won't you?

Take care,
Brad

Brad
I know it is late but this is the 1st time that I saw this blog. Thank you for your kind words! I miss my fellow MW Reps a lot but know that my move out west to work with Mission Playground is a good one. It is great seeing everyone at the shows!

Yes, all true indeed. And, there are new and different ways to do what we do that may increase our effectiveness and ROI.

Reps are needed in this industry, yet our job descriptions are expanding while our paychecks are shrinking. We can do better, and will.

We're working on some of these ideas here at PEMBA, and lots of smarter people elsewhere are, too. We hope you'll join us in discovering them.

Reps are leaving the industry for one reason- they are not making the money like they used to make.
More and more costs have been shifted from manufacturers to the reps, commissions have been cut, large accounts have become "house accounts" and the cost of sales have soared.

Jenn quit? Crap.

You're right, Brad. Good reps are like hen's teeth. Bad reps, unfortunately, are fairly numerous.

I shouldn't say 'bad' reps. They are not bad people. They are, however, less than effective in driving sales of their product. Ask your Minister of War and Charity about it and you'll get a fairly well-reasoned rant about the folks who collect some decent-sized checks from our manufacturers without darkening our door but once a year.
